Break The Mold is a lifelong community of African impact entrepreneurs and their cheerleaders. Our network of fervent African purpose-driven entrepreneurs consists of current and previous fellows, jury members, speakers, sponsors & partners. We bring the perspective of African early-stage entrepreneurs — a voice often underrepresented in global dialogues around green transition. Through our fellowship, we aim to create a safe space where our members can build a robust African entrepreneurial market - making the investment ecosystem more inclusive & equitable to underrepresented leaders.

“We're joining the GEC to collaborate with like-minded organizations committed to systemic transformation. Our work directly supports the vision of a fair and green economy by elevating entrepreneurs who are already building solutions that restore ecosystems, strengthen local economies, and reduce inequality.”
Maryann Kahindi-Picard
Co-Founder, Break the Mold

“Joining GEC allows us to co-design policies that support offline green ventures and share our model for replicability in other Global South contexts. Together, we aim to help shape fairer narratives about who leads and benefits from the green transition.”
