In the first of our 'Talking Green Economy' series we sit down with Johan Rockstrom, from the Stockholm Resilience Centre and lead scientist behind the concept of planetary boundaries.

His team's work has shown us that there are nine core processes on which our planet relies to stay stable. These nine processes provide humans with what they call a 'safe operating space'. According to their research, we have already transgressed three of those limits.

So what does this mean for economic growth? What are the implications of environmental limits for the world's poorest?
