Environmental Management for Livelihood Improvement Bwaise Facility (EMLI) is a registered environmental non-governmental and non-profit making organisation based in Uganda started by a group of eminent scholars and policy makers with a focus on environmental issues. Established in 2007 as a local community based organization in Kawempe Division, EMLI is one of Uganda’s local environmental NGOs accredited to intergovernmental organisations and conventions such as the UNFCCC, UNCCD and UNEP. EMLI’s agenda is to empower local communities formulate and implement development plans and programmes that promote sustainable development.
