There are a multitude of interconnected reasons as to why our economic system is failing to provide for people or the planet.  We have boiled it down to seven 'system flaws'. 

More, more, more

In the past 50 years the global population has doubled. More importantly, this has been combined with an even more rapid increase in the quantity of resources consumed on average per person. This is set to increase even more as the populations of developing economies adopt lifestyles and consumption patterns modelled on those in the West. Humanity is now using nature's services 50% faster than that which the planet can renew.
